Migraine
Migraines are episodes of severe, long lasting headache. A migraine attack may also include nausea, vomiting, and heightened sensitivity to bright lights and noise.
About one third of migraines are accompanied by an aura
, where the sufferer senses a strange light or smell.
There are many migraine triggers including:
- Allergic reactions
- Bright lights
- Loud noises
- Smells such as a particular perfume
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Changes in sleep pattern
- Alcohol
- Caffeine
- Menstrual cycle fluctuations
- Certain Foods
Migrains can also appear without an apparent cause. The good news is that what ever the trigger, migraine sufferers can respond well to hypnoanalysis.
