Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy and Hypnoanalysis

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis simply channels your attention away from the outside world, into the inner space of your own mind. Hypnosis is a completely natural mental state, and many people experience hypnosis throughout their normal day whilst daydreaming, or in being completely focused on a book or film.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is simply the use of hypnosis within therapy. Many techniques of psychotherapy can be used in conjunction with hypnosis. Hypnosis supercharges these techniques, making therapy faster and more effective.

Hypnotic Suggestion and Analysis

There are two main forms of Hypnotherapy. The first is suggestion which is treating the symptom directly and is useful in simple tasks such as smoking cessation. The other is called analysis and empowers your mind to permanently remove the underlying problem. Once the real issue is resolved, the symptom will naturally dissolve away on its own. Analysis is by far the most effective method, but takes more time and effort. Analysis is also completely non–directive because we are simply speeding up your minds own natural healing process rather than programming the mind as with suggestion. With analysis we are talking about a total resolution of the problem, not just the control of symptoms. Pure hypnoanalysis is a unique form of hypnoanalysis which (as far as I am aware) is only practiced by IAPH therapists. Pure hypnoanalysis has been in constant use since 1974 and is thought to help more than 250,000 per year.

Hypnoanalysis can provide a fast and effective solution to anxiety related issues. Hypnoanalysis is a unique form of therapy because:

Finding a Good Hypnotherapist

Whatever your reason for seeking hypnotherapy, Its important that you find a hypnotherapist that understands both Suggestion and Analysis and can recommend the right course of action in your individual case. Keep in mind that hypnosis and hypnotherapy are two separate things, just because someone can induce hypnosis does not make them a good therapist.
